The Guest Getter Story
While the need for a Guest Getter website service had been brewing for several years, it was really the trials and tribulations of 2020 that spurred the business into existence.
Floods, devastating bush fires, and COVID-19 were all key motivators for building Guest Getter and helping short term rental property owners gain control over their business.
Not only is this downtime the perfect opportunity for owners to prepare for the busy times ahead, the actions of Airbnb in response to COVID-19 travel restrictions really highlights the importance for owners to take more ownership of their rental business.
Peter has extensive experience in the travel and tourism industry. For the past 15 years, he and his wife Wendy ran a holiday park on the South Coast of NSW, Australia. Upon leaving that business, they settled in Nelligen where they run their short term rental business, the Clyde River Cottage. He has been with Airbnb for 5 years and is a certified Superhost. During this time he has attended the Airbnb Open Conference in Los Angeles and was the first Airbnb host to visit the Delhi Head office in India. If you haven’t already, be sure to get the case study to see how a direct booking website transformed this business.
Peter is a member of the Batemans Bay Tourism body and was a guest presenter on a popular radio travel broadcast on ABC Radio Australia for 2 years. Peter has given Adult Education accredited training courses on how to successfully manage short term rental properties as well as being a contributor on the popular and influential podcast Get Paid For Your Pad.
